Spencer 42 http://www.sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=3196 - indicates it was introduced in 1972.

Spencer 44 http://www.sailboatdata.com/viewrecord.asp?class_id=3197 - indicates it was introduced in 1968 and that hull was from modified mold of the SPENCER 42 which would be impossible since the Spencer 42 was introduced 4yr later.

Line drawing for Spencer 42 shows S42-2 on sail.  I suspect that line drawing and date and perhaps all the data are for S42.2 and that there is an S42.1 for which data is still needed.

You're right.  There is a serious mixup there.  Thanks for pointing it out.  I'll need to try to figure out where that information came from.

I've created a dbase in Excel that does it.
If you are running something similar, I could help.
What's the software handling the data behind the website?

I've fixed it now with a much information as is available. The SPENCER 42 was called the 42-2 from the beginning (1965??) though dimensions for individual boat that are listed on the website are completely inconsistant.  Also added the standard layout. Most boat were semi-custom and many were sold as kits.
