Boat Type: Herreshoff Nereia

« on: March 12, 2012, 04:22:49 pm »

The plans shown for the Nereia are actually for a fiberglass variant produced by Nereia Yachts of Wilmington, NC in the 1980's.  Its main difference was addition of an overhanging/counter stern, but that did change the boat's appearance.  The L.F. Herreshoff plans from "Sensible Cruising Designs" show the correct design and original cabin layout.  The sail plan and deck layout can be seen at this link, which shows my boat:  http://www.herreshoff4sale.com/  The Nereia Yachts brochure can be found here:  http://www.floridaboats.net/archive/nereia%20slide%20show/index.html

I recommend using the original plan for your Nereia page.  Let me know if you need any more information.

Thanks. Sounds like a good idea to me I'd like to do that. But it doesn't seem as though there are any links from your original for sale site that would take me to the original drawings.  For now, I'll incorporate you notes into the existing item.

In any case, very much appreciate the info.

Regards,
Randy Browning
