I am faced with replacing the window gasket on my Tanzer 7.5, do the windows have to be removed or can just the gasket be replaced?

Thank you

Do you have a picture of it?  Is it a opening port or is it just a lexan or accrylic/plastic window?

It is an fixed elongated aluminium frame window with plexi which requires a gasket as a water seal. I am debating on whether to replace the gasket or get a piece of dark plexi cut and surface mount it.

Cheers

Check out this site. http://www.selectplastics.com/index.php/Home.html
This company happens to be in my home town but there's some informative stuff here.
I had this guy make some replacement windows for me. But I had the old ones for a template and never had and any kind of frame or anything. As long as it's a flat surface, it's pretty easy to do. They have lasted more than 10 years although they do get scratched somewhat easily.
