Hi,

I'm new here; just looking for the mast longeur for a Jouet 920.
Anyone have data about it?

Regards

Getting information on the Jouet models is really difficult.  Not being an adequate French speaker puts 2 strikes against me personally. Not much help, I'm afraid.

Well, I recommend googling Jout 920 and finding one for sale, then emailing the owner and asking, explaining your project. I am sure he will be glad to help.

I do know that the bridge clearance of the 920 is (I am fairly sure) 12.2m and so just subtract the height from the waterline to the base of the mast, and that will give you your height, plus or minus the height of a can of beer or two.

If you have your mainstay handy (the length of which becomes your hypotenuse), you can also just measure the distance from where it is attached to the bow and the base of the mast, then simply use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve for the unknown length (the height of your mast). This works because the 920 has masthead sloop rigging.

Your best bet though is to find one for sale, and then email the owner.

let me know in PM if you need me to write you an email in French to send to someone. I'd be happy to translate something for you.
