Another beautiful sailboat (in two models) for you:

Jout 940 MS DL
The "DL" that you see refers to "Driveur lest" : which is the type of keel that has a part that can be raised or lowered into the cabin.
I can only imagine that "MS" would be "Masthead Sloop", but have no confirmation on that.

LOA: 9.42 meters
LWL: 8 meters
Beam: 3.3 meters
Draft (low): 1.2 meters
Draft (high): 2 meters
displacement: 4,200 kg
ballast: 1,400 kg
Designer: Yves Mareschal
Builder: Yachting France

Jout 940 MS
LOA: 9.42 meters
LWL: 8 meters
Beam: 3.3 meters
Draft: 1.5 meters
displacement: 4,200 kg
ballast: 1,400 kg
Designer: Yves Mareschal
Builder: Yachting France
First built: 1983
keel: Quillard GTE

The earliest reference to the 940 MS I've seen has a production date of 1983. The MS DL seems to be 1985, but I have no good confirmation on that.

Yes, thanks. I don't have these models. Nice find. I knew about this boat but didn't have enough information to enter it. I thought, also, that most were bilge keelers. But apparently not. Good work! Another photo I have seen also shows a masthead rig. Looks like a different hull than that of the 950, also by Mareschal.
Will send PM on another subject.
