Edel (FRA)

Brothers Maurice and Pierre Edel created the Edel company around 1956. They were one of earliest builders of fiberglass sailing yachts in France. The company was established in Meyzieu (close to Lyon). In 1961 they introduced a line of trailerable sailboats which were a big success. In 1981, Maurice Edel and Sylvestre Langevin began work on production multihulls. A new factory was built in 1992 Production continued until 1995.
