Samuel Crocker
1890 - 1964
Well known American designer and builder of commercial craft for fisherman and the military, as well as many racing and cruising yachts. Crocker studied Naval Architecture at MIT and worked with the John Alden for a few years before opening his own design firm. Much of his later work was in affiliation with the boat yard started by his son at Manchester, Ma. (still in business - 2008)
