American 16..centerboard leak!? - sailboatdata

Just bought and drained about 3 gallons out between hulls after only 3 hours…lifted boat off trailer…hull looks good…next step to examine centerboard connection…advice needed.

Is the leak where the centerboard rope passes thru the hull?

No it was where pivot bolt held centerboard…replaced and added large rubber and metal fender washers…it was filling the space between the 2 hulls

Figured a fix for mine. The leak was only into the bilge though.
