Hello Nick, Yachting Monthly posted a review of the 36S in 1986. If I’m reading it correctly, according to them the pice was £60,000 to £90,000 depending on the options.

THank you Bruce, just trying to figure what that computes to an 84/85 today! Been reading a lot of Ted Hood info…intriguing reading! I’m finding the Contest 36’s numbers and ratings is matching much better against many cruising boats I am looking at, including Hood designs, S&S, and others.
He has some great info about designing in the “The World’s greatest sailboats!”
