Hi
I’m suggesting an addition to the database. It is a homebuilt design in plywood epoxy, but has become popular across the world.
John Welsford is the renown designer of the SCAMP. Pathfinder is a response to requests for a larger, more seaworthy and capable Navigator with greater inbuilt buoyancy and a flat floor for sleeping forward of the centreboard.

John Welsford: “Pathfinder has a very high power to weight ratio, her extra length over the 15ft Navigator means a lot of extra sail carrying ability and still having the fine lines necessary for speed and comfort.”

Drawn as a gaff yawl with sprit booms this is the most popular configuration. However she has also been rigged as a sloop, and cutter, and with a wide variety of different mainsail designs including standing lug, gunter and junk.
An outboard can be fitted offset on the transom or in a dedicated well.
After a request from the UK John Welsford drew plans for a cabin version. As drawn this gives internal headroom above the numerous buoyancy tanks of 105cm. Sleeping capacity is 2.
She has incredible form stability and a good turn of speed. The yawl rig makes her very practical; sheeting the mizzen tight causes her to park up head to wind when required.
I believe the
