Translation: On my SUN LEGENE 41, the steel mast base is rusted about 10 cm above the screw connection on the keel.
Do you have any experience or tips for repairs?

    English translation:

    Hi everyone

Does anyone know where I can find documentation on the design category of the Farr 38?

It is clearly a Class A (Oceanic) but I cannot find any documentation to prove it

    Thanks

in reply to: CSF of First 45f5 #91326

Oops, I forgot to “update” after revising the specs. The calculations in the 45f5 record are correct now, including a CSF of 1.96

in reply to: CSF of First 45f5 #91323

Thanks for reaching out. We have a brochure from the USA which reported the specs we had in our 45f5 record. Looking into your comment, we checked out the French brochure, also another French with UK (English) brochure. They matched what you reported. Beneteau being a French company, we updated our record. The CSF now shows 0.78 (based on the formula we have), definitely blue water capable!

We’ve added a record for the Dean 440. Researching this we found conflicting information. We have posted hat we believe to be the most accurate. You can find the record here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/dean-440/
Thank you for the photo. We used that as well.

Hi Anthony, There is a Catalina 320 association (https://c320.org). Someone there might be able to help.

in reply to: Looking for Britton Chance 29 owners #91218

Hello Arthur, If it helps, I can tell you the Chance 29/25 record has been viewed 40 times by 36 users over the past three months. So there must be some other’s out there.

On another note… May we add the photo of your boat to our record?

    in reply to: C-Cat 48 #91203

    in reply to: Comfortina 39 MK1 #91181

We found some information on the Comfortina 39 MK1 here: https://www.sailguide.com/batfakta/comfortina-39. Sailguide.com is a Swedish site targeting Scandinavian built sailboats.

Based on the information at Sailguide.com, we added a new record you can find here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/comfortina-39-mk1/

Sorry, we did not find any drawings.

Please keep in mind, while we believe Sailguide.com is a trustworthy and reliable site, we have not confirmed the specs they have posted.

    Hope this helps.

    in reply to: Com-Pac 27 Mk 1 specs #91117

Hi Allen, We found a brochure for the original 27. It reports the same specs as the 27/2 and 27/3 so the hull appears to be unchanged with the subsequent versions. They report a sail area of 328 sq ft for the original 27. That increased to 380 sq ft for both the 27/2 and 27/3. However, from what we can tell, the rigs were the same, just the genoa’s overlap increased.

All that said, Com-Pac is still in business. Reaching out to them would be the best way to confirm any differences.

    Hope this helps.

in reply to: HEAVENLY TWINS 26 AND 27 CATAMARANS #91111

Hello Gerard, There is a Heavenly Twins owners group website where you might find the answers to your questions. It can be found here: https://htcca.co.uk

According to the information we found, the HT27 was introduced in 1989. The LOA was 27 ft. Prior to that, the LOA was 26′ 2″ (26.17 ft) / 7.98 m.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks rp. We stand corrected.

in reply to: windrider 17 and windrider Rave #91069

These are two completely different designs. The main difference being the Rave is a foiling trimaran.
To get a more complete picture of the differences, go to Sailboats, search Windrider, then select the “+” next to each boat. Then select Compare to see the differences.
