The Windjammer 34 used the same rigging and sail plan as the Westsail 32 but kept the flush deck of the Kendalls.
Windjammer Yachts of Huntington Beach built the Windjammer 34 with the hull being built by Crystaliner Corp of Costa Mesa and with World Cruiser Yacht Company building the interior and other items.
Windjammer Yachts built the first eight hulls then sold the molds to International Marine who built seven more.
