Notes

There has been a SEAVIEW class racing on the solent for more the a century.
This is the first version built by Arthur Taylor of Sandown on the Isle of Wight. Construction details: Scottish larch on ash.
Replaced in 1922:
Boats have been replaced several times:
1909:Design-G.U. Laws, Builder- Arthur Taylor gaffhead sloop with bowsprit,wood (individually owned)
1922: New design - A. Westmacott - Woodnutts, bermudian/marconi sloop, wood (club ownership arrangement established - Seaview YC)
1962: cold-molded plywood, Arthur Robb
late-1990’s: Fiberglass. (mold for made from previous version under supervision of David Thomas)
