Notes

There has been a SEAVIEW class racing on the Solent (Isle of Wight) since 1909.
Boats have been replaced several times:
This version is loosely based on the one designed by Alfred Westmacot in 1922.
Class history:
1909: Design-G.U. Laws, Builder- Arthur Taylor, gaffhead sloop with bowsprit,wood (individually owned)
1922: New design. A. Westmacott - Woodnutts, bermudian/marconi sloop, wood (club ownership arrangement established)
1962: cold-molded plywood replacement, updated by Arthur Robb.
late-1990’s: Fiberglass replacement overseen by David Thomas.
