A competition version built until 1974, the 600sV, offered a choice of either a 6/8 fractional or a masthead rig and a draft of 1.15m / 3.75ft.
After 1974, all 600's had a 7/8 fractional rig.
Upwind sail area for the 7.8 rig was 20.7 m² / 222.8 ft² which includes the main + #1 genoa.
