Anstey Yachts Ltd. (UK)

This from Paul Anstey, (son of founder, Russel Anstey)
"Russell Anstey and his wife, June, founded Anstey Yachts in about 1964. I joined straight from school in 1965. The company was formed to build the RUSTLER 31, a Holman and Pye design. Rustler was a play on dad's name. Hence also the Rustler emblem being used later by Trapper Yachts. We then built the STRIDER 35 which was also a Holman and Pye design. Our next boat was the RANCHER 41 which was designed by Alan Gurney (of Windward Passage fame). In the mid sixties we built a series of fifty foot charter boats for service in the Caribbean designed by E.G. Van de Stadt called the GLASS CLIPPERS. In the late sixties we started to build boats designed by C&C.
Anstey Yachts was taken over by The Granary Group in 1974."
