Located in New Bedford MA, USA, the company was well known for building commercial fishing vessels, whale boats, and Cape Cod catboats. Owner, Carl N. Beetle, was the inventor of glass fiber gel-coated boat molds and the catalyst spray gun. He later became one of the first fabricators in the US of fiberglass industrial equipment.
