Binks Yacht Constructions
Well known Australian boat builder. David Binks produced the first fibrerglass yacht built in Australia and then perfected a system of sandwiching a lightweight foam core between two layers of fiberglass, a concept that was embraced by boat builders around the world.
In 1972, a fire destroyed the Binks factory including the moulds of boats.
He retired in 2008.
The company no longer builds yachts.
