Marten Marine was founded in New Zealand by Steve Marten in 1972.
Marten Marine established an international reputation for composite yacht construction ranging from luxurious cruising yachts through to America's Cup and other racing yachts. (Builder of the famous KZ1 that raced against Dennis Conners catamaran in the 27th Americas Cup.)
In 2005, the company became part of Azzura Marine of Australia.
