First built in 1985 by Jeantot Marine which was founded by René Bernard and Philippe Jeantot who designed most of the earlier Privilege catamarans.
In 1996 Jeantot Marine was sold to La Groupe SGGR and subsequently Alliaura Marine was formed. In 2000 Alliaura purchased the Kirie Shipyard and continued to build Feeling Yachts, along with Privilege Catamarans, until 2012. (see also: Krie (FRA))
In 2012 Alliaura Marine became Privilege Marine.
Since May 2017, Privilège Marine has been part of the HanseYachts group.
