Ray Greene & Co.
1947 - 1975
Founded by Ray Greene, one of the pioneers in the development of fiberglass boat construction. The company began with small sailboats. The most notable of these was the 16' REBEL. In 1957 the S&S designed NEW HORIZONS was introduced which became an instant success with almost 30 orders placed at the New York boat show of that year.
A number of fires, and other setbacks plagued the company and Greene sold the business to startup Rebel Industries (Jackson, Michigan) and retired from the business in 1975.
