Silverline Boats (USA)

Primarily a builder of fiberglass power boats but also, later of snowmobiles. Originally called Moorhead Plastics and located at Moorhead Minnesota. The result of combined efforts of the Greater Moorhead Development Corporation, Ray Stordahl, a local businessman, and John Buckman, who had a history with the boating business and had previously worked at Larson Boats.
The manufacture of sailboats began some time around 1970. These were all designed by Glenn and Murray Corcoran according to company literature though, apparently, the tooling was originally from the Dolphin 17 Co. located at the time in Coffeyville, KS.
The company was purchased by Artic Enterprises, a manufacturer of snowmobiles. The Minnesota plant was closed down in 1980 though power boats under the Silverline brand were built elsewhere for a number of years.

Years in Business: 1967 - 1980
