E. Farnham Butler
1909 - 2006
Farnham Butler was the owner of Mount Desert Yacht Yard in Maine, USA and designer (along with Cyrus Hamlin) and builder of the Controversy line of small sailing yachts of the 1950's and early 1960's. Models such as the 24-foot AMHIBI-ETTE and AMPHIBICON, were ahead of their time with their reverse sheer and glued strip plank construction, light displacement and trailerability.
