William Gardner
1859 - 1934
During his career, William Gardner was among the most promenant yacht designers in America. (Of course this was the era of the Herreshoffs.)
Today, he is best remembered as the designer of the 1904 Schooner Atlantic, holder of the transatlantic record for nearly 100 years.
