cyrus hamlin

Co-designer (with E Farnham Butler) of the Controversy line of small sailing yachts of the 1950's and early 1960's. Models such as the 24-foot Amphibi-ette and Amphibicon, with their reverse sheer and glued strip plank construction, were ahead of the their time with their light displacement and trailerability. Besides his association with Butler, Hamlin was the designer of a wide range of other power and sailing craft.
