Robert G. Henry Jr.
1908 - 1970
After taking his degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from MIT, Robert Henry worked for Sparkman & Stephens for a number of years and assisted in the design of some their most famous yachts.
During WWII he was general manager of Oxford Boatyard Co., builder of many vessesls for the military.
He later became Head of the Boats and Small Craft Desgin Section of the Dept. of the Navy.
He is the co-author of 'Sailing Yacht Design', as well as a number of other publications and technical papers.
