G. William McVay
1921 - 1972
G. William McVay worked as a designer for Paceship Yachts in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia in the 1960's, and later founded McVay Yachts (1965-1973). He built a fiberglass version of the wooden Bluenose originally designed by W. J. Roue. McVay is also responsible for the design and production of the MINUET, FALCON 16 and MCVAY 20 among a number of other designs. Later his son built the VICTORIA 18 at his plant in Florida USA, which was based on the MINUET.
