Same design as the US CATALINA 27. A twin keel version was also available reducing the draft to 3.65 ft.. Some boats had transom hung rudders.

One of the earliest fiberglass boats of this size built in the UK. Hulls molded by Seamaster and finished by Stebbings, with a traditional wood deck and interior.
A competition version built until 1974, the 600sV, offered a choice of either a 6/8 fractional or a masthead rig and a draft of 1.15m / 3.75ft.
After 1974, all 600’s had a 7/8 fractional rig.
Upwind sail area for the 7.8 rig was 20.7 m² / 222.8 ft² which includes the main + #1 genoa.
