Updated version of the Ericson 38 originally launched in 1980, including a completely redesigned interior.
Pacific Seacraft purchased the molds when Ericson closed its doors in 1990.

Designed as IOR 3/4 ton.
The builder of the first two hulls, believe to be in Sweden, is unknown at this time. Hull #3 (photo above) was built in Clynder, Scotland by McGruer & Co.
Hulls 1 & 2 had flush GRP decks.

When Hinterhoeller Yachts went out of business (1994), Mark Ellis obtained the molds to the Niagara 42 (12.8m) and shipped them to Bruckmann’s yard in Mississauga, Ontario, where the boat is now offered as the Bruckmann 42.

Molds sold to Nautic-Plast in 1983
Initial LOA was 8.05m / 26’5″. This was increased to 8.15m /26’9″ by 1975. A new deck was introduced in 1978 which allowed for an aft cabin, built-in Diesel engine and wheel steering.
Current boats are 8.45m / 27’9″.
