Similar to the DOWNEASTER 38 but with a different coach roof and interior. Very few of this particular model were built.

Though only a handful were were built, (in the 1920’s) to the original plans, this became one of Atkins most influential designs.
The best known boat, said to be based on the ERIC design is Robin Knox-Johnston’s ‘Suhaili’, which made the first single handed non-stop voyage around the world.

Commissioned (BEFORE the NORDIC FOLKBOAT) by the Royal Danish Yacht Club as a Junior racing boat. It became the KDY 15 Sq.M., known also as “Juniors Bad” and did get the addition of “Folke”, only because of it’s strong resemblance to it’s bigger cousin.
The HARSTED 31 came from the same mold as those used to produced the larger models from Clipper Marine (30-32).
