First boat, ‘Maica’, was commissioned by French yachtsman Henri Rouault and based a earlier Illingworth design, ‘Belmore’. Built at Burnes of Bosham(UK)1960.
At least 30 built by CMN of Cherbourg, FRA.
Cold molded counter stern version introduced in 1962.

A further modified version was later built in Italy of fiberglass.

Both type 1 and type 2 are based on the same hull with different sheer and coachroof.
Designed at the request of the Yacht Club of France and intended for the amateur builder. Gaff head or Marconi sloop.
Originally intended for steel construction (TRINTEL I). Hulls molded by Tyler Boat Co. (UK) and finished by Anne Wever. Deck and coach roof are wood. Earlier boats have wood masts; Later delivered with aluminum spars.
The TRINTELLA IA (also called THE HARMONY 29) is slightly longer. The transom hung rudder has been done away with, and the coach roof and deck are fiberglass. (FG components were molded by Tyler Boat Co.(UK).)
