Designed to include water ballast.
Built in Australia by Tropic Trailer Yachts as the TROPIC 520.
Australian version of the MONARCH 17.
Coach roof was extended after hull #21.
Fixed keel version also available.
MK I version shown here.
The most noticeable difference in the MKII version was a taller coach roof providing better interior head room.
As with the CORTEZ 16, this boat has it origins with an earlier design called the SUN DOWNER 16, though deck, coachroof, and keel, were significantly changed.
