Derived from the earlier, plywood SPANKER design.
A later version from the same builder with a cabin was called the SLIPSTREAM.
Single handed keelboat seen mostly in Germany.
The above displacement and ballast were reported by Klepper in 1976. Current class association reports a displacement of 640 kg and a ballast of 270 kg.

A joint venture between New York YC and Nautor (though actually built in Estonia) called the NYYC 42. Sold as the CLUB SWAN 42 for non NYYC members.
The initial order was for 36 yachts, 25 sold to NYYC members.
