The POGO 40 has gone through a number of different generations since first introduced.

The Pirate is a ‘youth’ dinghy sailed primarily in Germany where an active class exists to this day. Fiberglass contruction was introduced in 1960.

Most early boats had 2 masts.
Sliding seat:
The sliding seat was first used sometime during the 1880s.
It was subsequently banned and later allowed.

Horizontal extension from centreline of hull: 2040 mm max.

Similar to the earlier MS-20 but with a longer and taller coach roof, smaller cockpit, and no inboard.
