First built of FG in the mid 1990’s.

A redesign of the original HERRESOFF 12 1/2. Modifications include the addition of a centerboard and slight widening of the beam. Most have been built by individuals from plans, but a completed fiberglass version was available at one time. Gaff and Marconi/Bermudian sloop versions.

There has been a SEAVIEW class racing on the solent for more the a century.
This is the first version built by Arthur Taylor of Sandown on the Isle of Wight. Construction details: Scottish larch on ash.

1922: New design – A. Westmacott – Woodnutts, bermudian/marconi sloop, wood (club ownership arrangement established – Seaview YC)
1962: cold-molded plywood, Arthur Robb
late-1990’s: Fiberglass. (mold for made from previous version under supervision of David Thomas)

LOA incl. bowsprit: 20′.

Commissioned by the Detriot Yacht Club in 1915, for racing within the recently formed Interlake Yachting Association. The first 5 were built by the designer at Swampscott, Mass. Price without sails: $205 FOB.

Available as gaffhead or marconi sloop.

Comissioned by members of Maine’s Winter Harbor Yacht Club in 1906.
Design credit is usually assigned to Alpheus Packard, who was in partnership with Starling Burgess at the time.
Many of the original boats have been restored and are sailing to this day.
