When introduced the FREEDOM 33 featured freestanding carbon spars, wrap-around/sleeved sails with wishbone type booms, (as shown here: The sleeved sails and wishbones were later abandoned for a more conventional sail attachment arrangement and standard booms. (A similar scenario took place with the FREEDOM 28.) Also available with fixed keel. This boat was also built in the UK (Western Yachts) and sold as the FREEDOM 35.
