Olympic Marine (GREECE)
Olympic Marine was founded in 1969 in Lavrio as an builder of yachts and ships.
(During the 1970's, there was also a Canadian subsidiary, Olympic Yachts of Canada, builder of the OLYMPIC DOLPHIN, and a few other sailing cruisers.
See Olympic Yachts of Canada.)
In the mid ‘70s, the Marina was extended, the technical equipment modernized, new shipbuilding methods were introduced and applied and the staff increased up to 500 persons. With the support of an international and specialized engineering team, every year more than 300 yachts were built (such as the OLYMPIC 33 and OLYMPIC SEA 42.)
In recent years, a major investment has been made in order to create one of the most complete and modern yachting centers ever, with the largest Marina and Full-Service Center for yachts of the southeastern Mediterranean.
