Shallow draft: 2.1m / 6.89′
Not the same as an earlier (1972) SWAN 44 by S&S.

VDS Design #26
Series built fiberglass version; hulls molded by Tyler Boat Co.
Finished by Southern Ocean Shipyards, or at the van de Stadt yard in Holland.
Regarding mast height, Excalibur 36 owner “Bluewaters2812” reports: I found the height of the mast from the deck to the top of the mast to be: 13metres or 42ft 6 inches. I measured a further 4ft 2 inches from the water to the base of the mast.Total height above water I found to be 46ft 8 inches. Add to that any lights and aerials fitted at the top of the mast. In my case, another 3 ft to take into account an aerial and tri-colour light. That gives me a total of 49ft 8 inches above water level. 50ft total for good measure (15.24 metres).

Also called CATALAC 30.
The first and most popular of all the Catalac models with more than 250 built. A shortened version became the CATALAC 8M which sold nearly as well.
In 1994, a new version was introduced from a different builder using the the original 9M molds. This was the CATALAC 900. (about 20 built)

Similar to the CAL 27-2. Calgan Marine built some of the earlier CAL/Lapworth boats under license to be sold in Canada.
