Same hull as GULSTAR 39 SAILMASTER but with center cockpit.
Originally built for ‘The Moorings’ (charter co.).

Early Finot design and winner of IOR 1/4 ton cup several times beginning in 1968
First boats were of plywood multi-chine construction. (Flush deck).
Boats based on this design have been built in France, Holland, Australia and Japan.
Selected for the ‘Tour de France a la Voile’ in 1978.
Finot was actually still working for Philippe Harle at this time.
‘Petite Fleur’, a soft chined version of the ECUME DE MER design (with other improvements) was Int. 1/4 ton winner in 1972.

Designed as an IOR 1/4 ton. Became the BIANCA 28. Later, in Canada, the WHITBY 27.

Based on the earlier PITI.
Said to be the first series-produced Danish sailing yacht in fiberglass.

The RHODES 41 is derived from the slightly earlier Bounty II and comes from the same mold which Grumman Corp./Pearson Yachts acquired in 1961. (In the Rhodes archives, both are listed as Rhodes design #658.) The RHODES 41 was given slightly more free-board, two smaller windows in the dog house, and lead ballast. The mast was moved aft, the engine re-located behind the companionway.
