The TARTAN 37 became one of the builders best selling models.
Derived from the TARTAN 38, more of a racer with a deep keel and tall rig.
Most boats were delivered with the keel/cb and standard rig as shown here. A tall rig and fixed keel were also available.

Another boat based on the same design was built in England and called the CONDOR 37.

The Mark I was built between 1967 – 1971.
The Mark II has less wood in the construction than the Mark I, employing instead a molded floor support, molded overhead liner and a fiberglass toerail.
Most boats were delivered with either the 23­hp Volvo MD2B or the 27-hp MD 11C (MK II). A 40­hp Westerbeke 4-107 was an option.

Hulls and decks (including the coachroof) were laminated by the Tyler Boat Company Ltd. in the UK. Hulls were completed by a number of yards in Europe including Malo Yachts, and Ohlson Brothers of Sweden, Robertson & Sons Ltd. of Scotland.

A kit version (from Tyler) was sold as the TUFGLASS 38.

Originally built by the Allen Boat Co. of Buffalo NY. The molds were later sold to Allied Boat Co. where, with some modifications, it became the ALLIED 39.
