In 1976, the molds were purchased by Grampian Marine, which went out of business before any additional hulls were built.
Same tooling was later used for the INTREPID 35.
This design appeared earlier as the HERITAGE 35.
The first 66 COLUMBIA 10.7’s were built by Whittaker Corp. at their Chesapeake plant. Later, it appears that at least 180 more were built at other locations and that production lasted at least through 1979.

Grampian built an ealier, and entirely different 34 based on the TRIANGLE 32. When Grampian went bankrupt in 1977, the molds for the 34-2 were sold, and few more were built elsewhere as the SEAFORTH 34.
