The REBEL is believed to be the first fiberglass sailboat built in America. The boat was developed with the help of Alvin Youngquist using fiberglass samples from Owens-Corning Fiberglass. Greene sold 25 of these 700 pound Rebels the first year.
A later, slightly modifed version, called the REBEL II had narrower side decks and a wider cockpit.
