Notes
Known as S&S design # 1959 and several versions were built by a number of yards around the world. The version built by Aquafibre (UK) only differed in having a slightly raised doghouse, while the Australian version (built by Swarbrick Brothers) has an uninterrupted cabin trunk. A later Mark II version has an updated keel and rudder-skeg configuration. The Aquafibre hulls were often finished by other yards. Some were exported to the US and sold as the PALMER JOHNSON 34.--------------------------------------------------------------------Specification (as per S&S plans) Metric/Decimal feet LOA: 10.23m/33.56' LWL: 7.37m/24.16' Beam: 3.08m/10.08' Draft: 1.78m/5.84' Displacement: 4171 kg/9195 lbs Ballast, Mk1 keel : 2368 kg - 2450 kg/5220 lbs - 5400 lbs Ballast, Mk2 keel : 2305 kg/5081 lbs Specification (actual as built by Swarbricks) LOA: 10.08m/33.07' LWL: (approx): 7.45 - 7.7m/24.44' - 25.26' Beam: 3.08m/10' 1" Draft (approx, Mk 1 keel): 1.85m/6.07' Draft (approx, Mk 2 keel): 1.92m/6.3' Displacement: 5000-6000 kg/11000-13000 lbs Ballast Mk1 keel: 2480 kg/5450 lbs Ballast Mk 2 keel: 2365 kg/5214 lbs Original S&S Rig Specification:I: 12.19m/40'J: 3.96m/13' P: 10.67m/35' E: 3.35m/11' Original S&S Association MK 1 (short) Rig:I: 12.50m/41'J: 3.96m/13' P: 10.97m/36' E: 3.66m/12' Original Mk2 (Tall) Rig:I: 13.11m/43'J: 3.96m/13' P: 11.58m (later said to be 11.50m)/38' E: 3.81m (later 3.80m)/12.5' Later Tall Rig: I: 13.11m/43'J: 3.96m/13' P: 11.30m/38' E: 3.80m/12.5'
