We also found a couple of pages on them in Sailing Craft, edited by Edwin J. Schoettle, © 1928 by the MacMillan company. Reissued January 1949. Pages 756-760 – Great South Bay Shore Birds by William Gill.Bruce_Sailboatdata
KeymasterHello. It’s a little hard to tell from your description. From what we can find, hull #181 was built around 1970. Any chance you have the HIN (hull ID number)?
Have you been to the Grampian Owners Site? Perhaps you can find someone to help there? http://www.grampianowners.comBruce_Sailboatdata

KeymasterThanks for the update on the 822 and 933. We appreciate it very much.

KeymasterIt is our understanding that, while not 100% of the time, the boats sold in Germany were called Kolibri. The boats imported to the US were primarily sold as Koralle Jr.

KeymasterI’d have to agree, even with the insulation.

KeymasterHello Nick, Yachting Monthly posted a review of the 36S in 1986. If I’m reading it correctly, according to them the pice was £60,000 to £90,000 depending on the options.

KeymasterHi Don, Jeanneau put the generator in aft, port side of the 44DS. Access is through bulkheads in the aft cabin. Since it was an option, many buyers chose not to have one.

KeymasterHello everyone. I wanted to say that Matt did an amazing job for us. So amazing, in fact, that he was hired away and so no longer works on this project which is so near and dear to our hearts. Matt is a great and talented guy and had a big impact on Sailboatdata.com.

KeymasterMost times it’s nearly impossible to find the answer to “What boat is this?” but as they say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

KeymasterHere’s information we found in Sailboat Buyers’ Guide by Alan Chappell © 1983 and an archived vdrestnautic.nl website…
The boat is a Dutch Flyer 28 imported into the US by Holland Yachts which was located in MD. Holland Yachts went out of business in 1988. The boat is called a Piewiet 850 in the Netherlands. All boats from this yard were designed by Mr. Van der Rest.
We have created a new record for this boat. You can find it here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/piewiet-850
Hope this helps.

KeymasterHello Adrian, If I may… you might want to go to the Clansman 30 record page on our site (https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/clansman-30), scroll to the bottom and select the New Topic link. That way anyone who goes to that record page but not the forum, might see that a topic has been created. We can tell you that over the past 30 days, that page was displayed 218 times.
We think it will increase your chances of connecting with other Clansman 30 owners.
Just a thought.

KeymasterI’m not familiar with the H-Boat but my guess is the first image is a bracket to attach blocks for lines like halyards that feed to that area. Really just a guess though.
My suggestion is to contact someone at the H-Boat Class Association. They should be able to help you.
