Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterSorry, we can’t help you with a manual. We have created a record with the basic specs… https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/johnson-daysailer-16
If you can read the HIN, which should be on the upper right corner of the transom, you will find the build date.
Hope this helps.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterIf you have not seen it, there’s an active Compass owner’s group you can find here:
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Mike, We’ve taken a second look at this but have not found the reported PY and EY measurements yet. That said, the reported sail area of 809 sq ft appears to be 103 sq ft greater than the I, J, P, E measurement of 706 sq ft. Perhaps that’s the mizzen?
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Oliver, Thanks for letting us know about the SO 42.2. We’ve taken a look and agree that the 42.2 has a spade rudder without a partial keg. We have not been able to locate a drawing that includes the keel and rudder but we saw some photos and have removed the drawing we had on the 42.2 record, which we now believe is the drawing for a Sun Odyssey 42 (1990-1992).
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Pier, Since you are looking for Kalik 30 owners in Europe, and more specifically Italy, I thought I would post a link here to our Kalik 30 page. Not sure if it will help or not but you never know.

Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Glen,
Thanks for letting us know about your Facebook group. We’ve added it to our database and have begun adding a link on all our Irwin boat records.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterThanks Philip. We’ve updated our record for the Devon Yawl.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterPlease keep in mind, we have been building our database of 8,600 boats by hand, one boat at a time since 2003 so there can be typos and errors. Our first choice for specifications is information we find from the builder (and even that can vary year to year for the same model). We almost never use For Sale listings as they tend to vary too much.
That said, we took another look at our Nauticat 40 record. We have revised the sail area to include the Main, Genoa and Mizzen sail. We also added the sail area of each individual sail, as well as the total SA including the Staysail (reported as a self-tacking jib), in the Notes section.
Anyone interested can find the revised record here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/nauticat-40
Our apologies for any confusion. Hopefully this will help clarify the record.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterJust FYI… everything you see on sailboat.guide, from sailboat specs to information on designers and builders to associations, everything, was taken without permission from us.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Johnny, Thanks for reaching out. You’ll find the Windrose 22 here; https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/windrose-22

Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHi Billy, We took another look at the Formosa 51. We tweaked it a bit but our record now matches a Formosa Boat Building Co brochure. The ballast weight they list seems low but it’s what they report.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Matt, In our database, we have 88 boats with CR’s over 50. Some older boats, late 1800’s, early 1900’s , were really heavy and have CR’s over 70 (only 5 in our database that high).
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHi Fredrick, Thanks for reaching out. This was a little tough to verify but we found a page in Yachting, October 1983 reporting the ballast as 9,300 lbs so that’s what we went with.
Thanks for the “heads-up.”

Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHello Dan, We have added records for the SO 45 and 45 Performance. You can find the SO 45 here: https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/sun-odyssey-45-jeanneau.
Thanks for reaching out.
Bruce_SailboatdataKeymasterHi Michael, You are basically correct about the 39’s history. The molds for the Fair Weather 39 were the Westsail 39 molds. We reached out to the Westsail Owners Association who was kind enough to send us builder’s documents from P&M Worldwide (who purchased the molds at the Westsail auction). While there are still a couple of minor differences between what was reported by P&M and what was reported by Fair Weather Mariner (pretty common in circumstances such as this), the two records now match each builder’s reported specs.
Thanks for reaching out.
